Challenge
Atlântida (anonymised client), a group with 12 tourist apartments in Lisbon and Porto, received 80% of bookings via Booking.com and Airbnb, paying up to 18% commission. Their own site was slow (6.2s mobile LCP) and had no booking engine — visitors who arrived ended up booking via OTA anyway, crushing margins.
Solution
We built a new site in Next.js with dedicated property pages, own booking engine with Stripe (MB Way + Multibanco + card) and bidirectional iCal sync with Booking/Airbnb to prevent overbookings. We implemented email capture with a 5% discount for direct bookings and pre-arrival automation (check-in instructions, local tips, emergency contacts).
